Lambda Chi Alpha House Rededication

This year marked the 10th anniversary of construction of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity house on 200 Sunset Terrace in Troy. The festivities kicked off with several speeches including those made by the High Alpha, Oscar Simon, and the Grand High Gamma of Lambda Chi Alpha and Dean of the RPI Hartford campus, John Menasian. Events that follwed included the "re-christening" of the house with a bottle of champagne, and the first annual "Watermellon Bash", which was one of the House's numerous philantropy events. The Rededication held an excellent turnout from alumni, initiated brothers, associate members, and many families associated with the fraternity. Many newcomers had a chance to see what our house is really like, as well as what we all stand for.

"Our House is more than just steel and sheetrock. This house is a physical representation of our bond as brothers..." - Oscar Simon, High Alpha

Built in 1995, the Lambda Chi house has been home to many brothers and will continue to be such. Hundreds of young men have been through the house since it's construction and have since gone on to the "real world" and onto the journey that is the rest of their lives. Still, many find time in their busy days to make room for us Undergraduates by returning and seeing how things have changed...and also how they are the same. The house serves as a place where brothers new and seasoned can all get together and bond, making the one we share as brothers even stronger. Whether or not it be "reminicing the good old days", watching a movie, enjoying a nice dinner, or enjoying one's self at one of our dances, all of us can come together and be brothers. Lambda Chi Alpha is more than just a name, it is in our hearts, in our blood; it is our home.
